Why Being Yourself Is Surprisingly Attractive

There's a curious moment that happens on almost every first date. Both people are trying to make a good impression. Conversation is a little more polished than usual. The jokes have probably been rehearsed in the shower. Stories are edited to make us sound slightly more adventurous, slightly more interesting or slightly more successful than we perhaps feel on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon. It's completely understandable. Most of us want to be liked.
