Why Mystery Is Overrated

For some reason, we've convinced ourselves that being difficult to read is attractive. Don't reply too quickly. Keep them guessing. Don't reveal too much. Act a little less interested than you really are.

The advice is everywhere, and it usually comes wrapped up as confidence. The less available you seem, the more desirable you'll become. If someone isn't quite sure how you feel, they'll work harder to find out. Maybe.
