Tech Blog: Update 4th July 2026

It’s the little things.

Today I’m working through all the reference documents. Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, community guidelines and all those footer links that every website needs. They’re not glamorous, but getting the foundations right now means I can throw myself into the fun stuff later. Live chat rooms, media galleries, webcams, who’s nearby… all the juicy bits.

Privacy has been occupying my brain today, especially when it comes to explicit media.

I keep wishing there was some magical piece of code that could stop someone photographing their screen with a mobile phone. Imagine that. Sadly, unless Morpheus offers me a blue pill and sends me to the dimension where Smell-O-Vision actually happened, that technology doesn’t exist.

The reality is that no website can completely stop someone pointing another camera at a screen. What we can do is make it increasingly difficult and build enough layers of protection that members feel genuinely safe.

Right now, that means:

• Building a community of paying, ID-verified members, where people have something to lose if they abuse trust.
• Giving members complete control over when their media is visible and when it isn’t.
• Adding technical protections such as preventing image dragging, right-click saving and other casual attempts to copy content.

None of those measures is perfect on its own. Together, they become another layer in a very big onion.

That’s really how I think about building ‘technical trust’. It’s never one clever trick. It’s lots of sensible decisions stacked on top of each other until the whole thing becomes robust and trustworthy.

What can I tell you? I’m a sexy geek.
