Unicorn Hunting... From Her Perspective

If you've spent any time around non-monogamous communities, you've almost certainly come across the phrase unicorn hunting. Sometimes it's used jokingly. Sometimes critically. Occasionally with genuine frustration. The term usually describes a couple looking for a single woman to join them. She's called a "unicorn" because she's perceived to be rare, magical and almost impossible to find. The nickname has become so common that many people use it without ever stopping to consider how it sounds from the perspective of the woman herself.
