But Why Not? When Rejection Bruises Your Ego
You send the message. Perhaps you've been chatting for a while, perhaps you've met for a drink, or maybe you've simply made it clear that you're interested. Then comes the answer.
“Thanks, but I don't think we're a match.”
And somewhere between reading that sentence and replying to it, a tiny solicitor can appear inside your head demanding further particulars. But why not? What exactly was wrong with me? Was it something I said? Is there someone else? What didn't she like? Surely if she explained her reasoning, I could address the points raised and perhaps have the decision reconsidered.
